I would say this...the only possible Democratic winner is some black somewhat unknown political figure who plays out the Obama-scenario....is a gifted speaker...and picks up a lot of black votes which didn’t occur in 2016 with Hillary.

I read that Hillary did max out the Black vote in places like MI or PA, correct me if I'm wrong

In the case of Michigan....particularly around Detroit, I think she got 104-percent of the black vote (city officials tried to audit some of the voting books and found too many discrepancies to say with any accuracy that legal voting occurred). Outside of Detroit, it’s a different story. Just outside of Detroit, in Livingston County...Trump won with a 30-point lead. Monroe County (to the south of Detroit) was a 22-point win for Trump. I think if the legal voting had been done in Detroit...Hillary would have seen at least 20,000 lesser votes.

In the Penn, I think the urban black vote came out. There are however, only four counties where Hillary had double-digit wins. The non-urban vote didn’t come out for Hillary as you look at the rest of the state. On the western side of Penn, you see a dozen counties with double-digit point differences between Trump and Hillary. She had zero chance in those counties.

The disconnect for her national vote is that she could only mount serious voting numbers in urbanized areas. She couldn’t attract the rural or non-urban vote. You see this problem in the Iowa Caucus in 2008 and 2016...her theme and message just didn’t work. No one has really sat down and talked to working-class blacks about their votes, and I suspect that a fair number number went to Trump.

My brother brought this up to a couple of the security guards in his company one day before the primary day in the state. They were black, retired Army, and normally die-hard Democrats, from a southern state. In the spring of 2016, they were sold on Trump’s message. The reason? They’d seen the job shift in the 1990s, and fewer jobs for everyone (especially for blacks). In their mind, only Trump could bring back jobs. I think a fair number of working-class Blacks went this direction.
