A GOP lawmaker wants Trump to stop listening to Steve Bannon

Rep. Carlos Curbelo, R-Florida, criticized White House aides Steve Bannon and Stephen Miller by name on Monday evening, arguing that it's "pretty clear" the two staffers think alt-right groups "should be accommodated."

The GOP congressman's comments follow a weekend of unrest and violence in the United States as demonstrators took to the streets of Charlottesville, Virginia, on Saturday, where a white supremacist rally was scheduled to take place.

One person died and several more were injured when a car drove through a crowd of counterprotesters.

"I think that the President would go a long way toward improving his approval rating if he starts listening to others, not those who have taken him down this path," Curbelo said in an interview on CNN's "Erin Burnett OutFront" Monday evening. But when asked if the aides should be fired, Curbelo said: "I don't know if they need to be fired, maybe they need to be marginalized, maybe the President just needs to start taking advice from the right people."

When asked if he thinks "there's more than one person who supports the alt-right in the President's inner circle," Curbelo said: "I do believe so."(continued)

If Marco Rubio and Jeff Flake had a baby. I guess he missed the seven years Steve Bannon served in the Navy.

Curbelo is a left-winger. He should not be listened to.

I think a lot of people would prefer that Trump surrounded himself with spies and other swamp servants. Trump needs to surround himself with smart loyal supporters. His own family for instance.

The Deep State is getting desperate to get rid of Trump. Now they’re resorting to sending out their lesser minions like Curbelo to spread the word.

Carlos Curbelo’s 2016 ACU Conservative rating was a 13. 13. That puts him on the left of the Democrat Party and he is “elected” as a Republican. That means he is 87% leftist. This guy is a radical leftist.

Didn't Rubio initially get elected in 2010 by vacuuming up donations from Tea Party groups and calling himself "the first Senator from the Tea Party"? Whatever happened with that? And why was he re-elected so easily in 2016 given his betrayal? Was there seriously nobody better in the entire state of Florida to serve as senator?

Same with Ted Cruz in 2012. Wolves in Tea Party clothing.

He initially declared he wasn’t running for reelection in 2016 as he went “all in” for the Presidency. Of course, with Trump’s entry, his “all in” started to move back to hedging his bets. Actual Conservative Congressman Ron DeSantis was running for the seat, as was RINO David Jolly. When it became readily apparent Rubio would not be the Presidential nominee, the party apparatus all but begged him to run for a 2nd term, which forced out the declared Congressmembers into running for reelection.

Here are exerts from an article about Rep. Carlos Curbelo from NBC News in May of 2017:

As a rule, Republicans don’t usually discuss impeaching their own president. But these are not usual times.
One of the most vulnerable Republicans in Congress, Florida Rep. Carlos Curbelo, is so intent on getting credit for being the first GOP lawmaker to discuss impeaching President Donald Trump that his office called up Mother Jones magazine and got them add a correction to a recent story.

“Following publication, a spokeswoman for Curbelo contacted Mother Jones to point out that ‘Congressman Curbelo was actually the first Republican to mention impeachment’”

Seems to me a register republican that voted predominately for Hilary Clinton, and the rep wanted to impeach Trump, big deal, should he be considered a traitor to the GOP and even considered a representative of them? And only NBC and CNN would give him time.

These GOPers seem to think that Trump should heed their advice. But why? What have they done for him? Or more importantly, for us?

You can’t get more RINO than pandering to Cuban Republicans in Florida, who blend into a larger, and more Liberal Latin American population down there.

I grew up in Miami, and love the Cubans, but I don’t trust these slick young, Cuban GOP politicians, especially considering Jeb Bush’s influence in Florida’s political system.

And by pandering, I mean, pretending to be one of them, when you’re really more aligned with all the Liberal Hispanics.

You know that picture of Rubio in a bubble bath with all of his paisanos? Take a close look, someone that looks an awful lot like Curbelo is sharing the brotherly love.
