I agree-—it was a nothingburger. The title of the article was “Why Asshat Lost.” The author never told us.
Her hopes dashed, a dejected Hazel Hunt made her way through the crowd carrying a canvas on which shed painted Ossoffs portrait over an original poem, a limerick that began There once was a country in pain.
There once was a country in pain.
For Ossoff, great fame for to gain.
So they spent fifty mil,
but what a bitter pill.
Defeated with intense disdain.
Political limericks are "au courant!"
#RodneyStooksbury ran against Tom Price in November 2016.
He didn't run a campaign - no advertising, nothing. No one knew who he was.
But he got 24 more votes than Assoff. 😀
I thought that the Democrats learned through intensive field testing that if they soiled their drawers, it would help protect them from the melting...
More like flatulence.............
Thanks, I thought it was just me, but that article was like a bread sandwich.
So, instead of limericks, you write haiku. Very good!
Yup. It seems a lot of articles read like this now. All setting and no plot.
I guess I kept seeing references to that effect---someone else on the ballot---but I didn't know if they were talking about the primary, whatever.
So does this mean Stooksbury actually tipped (you might say pushed big-time) the election to Handel?
‘Neglecting the point that most of the Democratic money came in from out of state and was WAY out of proportion to what the Republican received. ‘
First thing I noticed too.
I hate canvassers with a passion.
Had them up here in WI for a local election (judge). Slammed the door in one face.
My husband is the nice guy and he wasn’t happy I did that, but he’s learning with all these spam calls trying to get you to say “yes” and the other scam *charity* calls that call and call and call, no matter what.
When people who hate my President and have contempt for me because of my vote think they can harangue me in person, in public, over the phone, thru the mail and online to change my mind because they are right and I am wrong and then will not listen to MY POV, they have lost me.
In an unconventional way, our side is organized. We’re the immovable object and they are the very resistible force. They have to seek us out one-by-one, while presenting a large, visible and unpleasant-looking/sounding target.
Holy crap this lady is so pathetic. Shes got mental issues in not being able to tell your child about an election result.
__________
There are many variants of this. Such as the 70-year-old from Marin whose grown daughters and their friends called on election night, distraught and in tears.
I said:”That’s stupid.”
She said:”It’s not stupid. These are privileged girls who have done a lot of community service.”
I left the room.
She was the only liberal in the room. We’ve all known each other 40+ years, some for fifty or sixty. Her husband is conservative, but he was gone fishing.(lucky guy). The daughters are all adults approaching 40. During the zer0 years, she was all unicorns and rainbows while her husband’s business was taking it in the gut.
To encourage your adult daughter to cry on the phone over an election loss and then to defend it by citing noblesse oblige is also beyond pathetic and indicative of serious mental issues, IMO.
This happened Father’s Day and I’m still irritated.
No.
#RodneyStooksbury ran in November 2016 against Tom Price, and got 24 more votes than jon Asslick.
And Stooksbury spent ZERO dollars.
This woman is either a pathetic liar or a deluded CNN believer (possibly a combination of both). Her completely false-narrative "conclusions" are indicators of a potentially dangerous psychotic disorder.
...the boy wonder of Georgias Sixth Congressional District...
If the Dems really want to know why they lost this election they can start right there.
