As scandals continue to mount against Donald Trump, the veteran congressional leader tells Roland Martin that party leaders will have to eventually break ties with the president.
Congresswoman Maxine Waters has been one of the leading lawmakers to criticize President Donald Trump‘s actions since he took office in late-January. In a simulcast conversation with Roland Martin and NewsOne Now and the Tom Joyner Morning Show, Waters predicted that the Republican Party won’t be able to support the former business mogul for much longer.
Rep. Waters continued her usual stance in pointing out the fallacies of the Trump administration, but it was her suggestion that the GOP will stand aside as it appears Trump’s presidency is heading in a negative direction.
“The Congress has not done its job. We have been derelict in our duties, and mostly because the Republicans are in charge, and we don’t have charge of the committee. We’re supposed to be a checks and balance democracy, agencies in government are balanced by each other and checked by each other,” Waters said.
Martin mentioned a CBS News tweet about 20 GOP lawmakers refusing to appear on the network’s morning program to discuss Trump’s troubles, prompting Waters to say, “the next couple of weeks is going to tell us a lot about whether or not these Republicans are gonna get the guts to do what they have to do and move towards tying down these investigations so that we can connect the dots in ways are irrefutable.”

Oh and she’s such an authority on the GOP. She’s from a 78% Clinton district and has no incentive to even acknowledge that Republicans exist. From what I’ve seen, Trump supporters and Republicans are digging in in their support of President Trump because we can see he’s being persecuted relentlessly by the left and the MSM. Waters needs psychiatric help.

My wife has used the same local florist for about 2 decades.
When she takes in her Easter Vase, Thanks giving center piece or Christmas center piece for the upcoming holidays. They show her pictures of her previous purchases. She then decides which one for this year.
That is good for her as a customer.

Nailed it. Can't lose something he never had to start with. Remember when the Bush tape was released and all the GOPer's couldn't jump ship fast enough then the craziest thing happened; the country didn't care. It was 13 years prior and old news plus everyone could see through the ruse/trap set up. The GOPe lost all credibility in that one moment forever. It can never get it back ever.
The dem party is dying but so is the GOPe party because they are both part of the same swamp water filled pool of people. The only difference between them is the letter after their names which don't mean squat with that bunch.
The establishment has been predicting this for well over a year. I’m sure this time they will be right, finally, this really is peak Trump. President Trump will be stuck at this level for eight years, then he will disappear from politics - and everyone who hates freedom will finally cheer.

Ms. Waters’ delivery is measured to make one think she is brilliant...when will the men in white coats find her and lock her up again...hopefully sooner than later for her own good...this race pimp is hurting herself.

Sure Maxine, that’s what you’d like to happen...but it’s not going to happen.
What to do with her. On one hand I would start digging and dump some scandals at her feet. She’s seems about as arrogant, slimy, and nasty as they come. It really wouldn’t take long to embroil her in scandal and remove her from office.
On the other hand, letter her rant and rave all the while being embraced by the Democrats is simply shining an enormous spotlight on just how unhinged and deranged the Democrat party really is. The more they let Maxine yammer the more she ends up hurting their insane “cause”

In 1998, Waters wrote an open letter to Fidel Castro asking him not to extradite African-American activist Assata Shakur.
Assata Shakur killed a police officer. She is a domestic terrorist who is wanted by the U.S. govt. with a 2 million dollar bounty on her head.
Maxine Waters supports her (of course she does) supports a woman who killed cops. Who is a fugitive terrorist.
This needs to be shouted from every rooftop
