It is well worth reading the filings by the Stein team in Pennsylvania. The professor whose affidavit they rely on has nothing but a lot of vague, and unsupported accusations. In fact, the documents he includes as exhibits don't even support his speculation.

Here is the petition, which apparently also is seeking relief that isn't available in Pennsylvania - at least according to the Democratic Secretary of State.

Prof. Halderman states that:

"The 2016 presidential election was subject to unprecedented cyberattacks apparently intended to interfere with the election"

"The Department of Homeland Security has stated that senior officials in the Russian government commissioned these attacks"

"One explanation for the results of the 2016 presidential election is that cyberattacks influenced the result. This explanation is plausible, in light of other known cyberattacks intended to affect the outcome of the election..."

What the US government actually said is different from what Halderman implies in his affidavit:

"The USIC and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) assess that it would be extremely difficult for someone, including a nation-state actor, to alter actual ballot counts or election results by cyber attack or intrusion"

Exhibit E from the petition, a Joint Statement from the Department of Homeland Security and Office of the Director of National Intelligence on Election Security, says the opposite of what Halderman implies it says.

His affidavit is flimsy, and the petition seems weaker.

I read the one that she filed in Wisconsin and it was similar if not the same. I felt like it read like a junior high research paper. Lot’s of might have and could have and we feel like statements. I read no actual evidence nor any statement that could be considered as such. There were a lot of if “x” is true and “y” is true then we feel like “z” has to be true too.
