I think Cruz is brilliant, young, and Hispanic. He’d give libs hell for decades on the SCOTUS.

Trump doesn’t do affirmative action appointments. If he picks Cruz, it’s because he deems him a good fit and defender of the constitution. Would be a long shot though since he wasn’t on the original list.

I agree. It’s a natural fit. My only concern is getting past a filibuster but I am beginning to suspect that Trump will bust all filibusters. He’s just to smart and experienced for the senator clowns.
Cruz cannot be trusted. You shouldn’t give an untrustworthy, disloyal person a position he will have for life when impeachment is the only recourse for any untrustworthy, disloyal act he may commit. Better for Cruz to get a position from which he can be fired. Untrustworthiness and disloyalty, plus the fact that he claims to be an expert on the Constitution but can’t figure out that a Canadian Cuban cannot be a natural born citizen, disqualify him. Cruz ripped up any chance he had for SCOTUS with his own two hands. Donald Trump is a very shrewd man. I believe he fully understands the situation.
