There are many miles to go before Election Day. Eugene McCarthy had a lot of support at the 1968 DNC, but Hubert Humphrey eventually ran strong enough to only just barely lose to Nixon.
This election is a toss-up. Maybe things will change between now and November. But in the immediate future, I expect Hillary to get a convention bounce that will put her back in front of Trump.
Without George Wallace in the race, Nixon would’ve won in a landslide.
Oh, piff.
Both post-convention bumps will go to Trump.
