Senator Ted Cruz’s Powerful Response to the FBI’s Decision Regarding Clinton’s Email Scandal
Red State ^ | July 5, 2016 | Susan Wright

Posted on 07/05/2016 7:06:35 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

As a Constitutional lawyer, Texas Senator Ted Cruz knows a thing or two about the law.

As a conservative senator, he knows what a tank of sharks Washington, D.C. can be.

After today’s announcement by FBI Director James Comey that Hillary Clinton would skate on charges of wrongdoing, in regards to her hiding, destroying, and total mishandling of sensitive emails, Senator Cruz made a strong statement.

From his Facebook page, and in its entirety:

While I have tremendous respect for the dedicated men and women of the FBI, I have serious concerns about the integrity of Director Comey’s decision, and how it threatens the rule of law.

Director Comey has rewritten a clearly worded federal criminal statute. In so doing, he has come dangerously close to saying that grossly negligent handling of classified information should not result in serious consequences for high-level officials. In a nation where the rule of law is supposed to matter, this is troubling.

Yesterday, Americans celebrated the 240th birthday of our Republic. We honored not only those who fought and died to defend our way of life, but the constitutional Republic for which they sacrificed. If we are to remain a beacon of hope and freedom for the rest of the world, it is incumbent upon us to ensure that we remain a nation of laws, and that our laws apply equally and fairly to us all. Under President Obama, we have seen the most politicized Department of Justice in history; I very much hope that politicization has not similarly corrupted the Federal Bureau of Investigation. I join my Senate Judiciary colleagues, including Chairman Grassley, in calling for public transparency of, and full access to, all the information that the FBI used to come to today’s dubious decision.

I dare say, unless you have a transcript of the “chance” meeting between Hillary’s lecherous, corrupt husband, and the equally corrupt Attorney General Loretta Lynch from last week, you won’t get the whole story.

I’ll go further and say that Clinton’s recent suggestion that she may keep Lynch on as AG, once she rousts her pal, Trump, in the general election, doesn’t seem like a “You scratch my back, and I’ll scratch yours” scenario, at all!

Or maybe just a little.

These are the reasons we need men like Senator Cruz in the Senate.

There should be utter contempt for Mr. Comey and the FBI.

The modern day “Federal Bureau of Investigation” already showed me how they operate when they covered up their shooting at the murdered LaVoy Finicium in Oregon back in January.

Now this farce.......

Its a little weak, Ted, way too watered down for my taste buds.

Where's your proof that Cruz personally has anything to do with that? You might win a Pulitzer prize.

I think it should be:

If we are to remain a bacon of hope and freedom for the rest of the world,.....

“You took that out of context. I don’t think that was Cruz speaking, it was the female author.”

Yea, why post a redstate post about a Cruz post when you could have just posted the original Cruz post?

You are just making Cruz look bad with the nevertrump garbage.

No spy should ever be convicted again. All he or she has to say is “I didn’t mean for the enemy to get their hands on my briefcase.”

Napolitano has said all along that many FBI agents would resign in protest if Hillary wasn’t charged. Anyone know what he’s saying tonight?

You mean “the dedicated men and women of the FBI” that participated in the cover up of TWA800? or “the dedicated men and women of the FBI” that executed everyone in Waco? or “the dedicated men and women of the FBI” that murdered innocent civilians at Ruby Ridge, or “the dedicated men and women of the FBI” that stand by their Morally Bankrupt and Ethically Corrupt boss James Comey??

I met Senator Cruz about 15 months ago at Hobby airport: whenI asked him his assessment of the likely democrat nominee, he said “she is at the center of all the corruption in Washington”. He should know.

So is Government Sachs. And Ted Cruz is just fine sleeping with that outfit. Literally.

Ted’s not that bad. He’s a good speaker and has stood by us for years. He did not look good in the debates but we still like him.The worm turned when he and Marco started to hammer Trump. It turned us off.Rumors of affairs came to nothing.I hope he stays in the Senate.

This case only reinforces the reality of Uniparty corruption in this country with each of the guilty parties or Republicans and Democrats pointing fingers at each other and business as usual being allowed to continue.

The sham and the show must end.

I supported Mr. Trump over Mr. Cruz, but beyond Trump there isn’t much worth voting for in this country right now.

A third party or a massive campaign of civil disobedience in the tradition of Gandhi and Martin Luther King remain my hopes.

This is going to be my first commentary about the whole Cruz/Trump thing since my fellow FReepers began the in-fighting over the two:

I really, REALLY wanted to support and donate to Cruz.
He was EXCELLENT on the second amendment.
He knew the judicial system.
HE LOVED HIS COUNTRY.

But when he blamed Trump for the violence at Trump rallies caused by the anti-Trump thugs...

It was the same as Obama and his hoplophobic circle-jerk pals blaming ME, and all of us lawful gun owners for Aurora, Sandy Hook, and every other firearm murder.

Love ya, Ted.
But, that is what sent me packin’.

You said”did anyone, besides you, suggest that?” Then I showed it to you, do you accept it? Nope, just move the goalposts. Sorry your boy lost, time to get over it

The country needs Cruz alright. We need him to go away. Go be a preacher of goodness and light, maybe on the Texas border, or go train the foreign workers he had such an affinity for quintupling into the USA, or go sell flashlights to the illegals that he wanted to bring out of the shadows, or sell stationery for writing of the merits of the Trans Pacific Partnership.

Do a service Ted, to the country. Go away, far.

My good guess is we won’t know what really went on with the Lynch/Bill Clinton jet plane ride for a long time.

No, I think we do know now. The purpose of the Lynch/BJ meeting was to give Clinton a heads up and dump the entire mess onto Comey. The kenyan did not want his finger prints on this.

...he said “she is at the center of all the corruption in Washington”. He should know.

He should know. He and Heidi have aspired to that level for 15 or more years---working with the Council on Foreign Relations, the Bush White House, campaigning for the North American Union, lobbying his fellow senators to pass TPP and massive increases in immigration, Heidi in the White House for years planning TPP and NAU and globalist "free trade" policy, Ted a true, quintessential Washington Elite Establishment Uniparty Insider ...Methinks Cruz's comment is envy-inspired.

This is the Ted Cruz I grew to like since 2012. To bad a presidential run went to his head.

Hopefully is going to be more like this going forward and go forward too do whatever it takes to keep Criminallary from being elected (including supporting Trump).

PS——and aligned so closely with Wall Street hedge funds and investment banks that his wife is Goldman Sachs Vice President-—only one position removed from the TOP: full partner.
