Thanks. I’m hoping that Trump’s success will inspire more conservative people to enter politics, but not as a career. I’ve had it with career politicians.
It’s not that there haven’t been good people, but too many get “assimilated” in under 6 years (6 being the demonstrable period with which good people get spoiled).
With respect to Jeff Sessions, we have the late liberal Dem Sen. Howell Heflin to thank for him. Heflin HATED Sessions and actively and successfully worked to keep him from getting a federal judiciary office. Sessions got even by running for Howell’s Senate seat and winning, and as we know now, is in the running for VP. Had Howell not been so bent on early revenge, Sessions would merely be just another (albeit excellent) federal judge today instead of becoming a powerful and influential Senator far and beyond Heflin.
