I don’t want to battle anybody on this site. I would say, though, that a principled conservative, either would not have signed the pledge in the first place (on principle, of course). Or would sign it now to live up to his pledge.
Backing Hillary bc DT beat your guy is . . . well, unprincipled. On second thought, backing Hillary for any reason is unprincipled.
