If he’s not going to zero in on a single state (and that strategy has not worked in SOME time), Sessions is a GREAT pick.
One, Sessions is qualified
Two, Sessions was on board early, so he doesn’t have to walk anything back
Three, he is considered to be principled, intelligent and able.
Four, they are politically compatible on this campaign’s core issues.
Five, this makes Sessions the de facto leader of the “regular” conservatives, this means that full-spectrum conservatism has continuity and will be mostly immune from the Republican Party earthquake that is taking place. Pity that he’s as old as Trump.
Six, ready on day one.
Seven, Alabama will replace him with another Republican, and likely a conservative vote, even if note as good as Sessions himself.
Nobody is as good as Sessions for the Senate or VP. Newt would also be good for VP or Senior Adviser. He said last night on Hannity, I’m happy to serve/help any way I can.
