The headline should read Washington State GOP Insures Delegates will go to Cruz on a Second Round of voting, if Necessary.
I’m sick of hearing Cruz has the groundgame when the primary results aren’t even over. Trump will get most or all of these delegates on the first ballot. How does Cruz have the superior ground game when he keeps losing?
And I’m already tired of hearing this popular post-loss Cruz chestnut: “Cruz and his people just want to make sure there is a conservative platform.”
It reminds me of the line from the `Elizabeth I’ movie (Helen Mirren) where the Earl of Essex, riding with his men on the Queen’s residence, attempts to soothe the queen:
“We are only concerned about your advisors and the advice you receive ... “ and Liz fires back,
“No, you would tell me who rules. And I tell you, I rule.”
He dropped out, finally, after it became mathematically impossible for him to win—yet he lingers like a stale fart in aisle 4.
Now he seems to think that his consolation prize is being able to make the decisions he would have made—but for losing?
IOW, it appears Ted wants to be behind the curtains pulling strings, running things.
That is what the primaries are all about. His crazy position only makes sense to his deluded fans here and Glenn Beck.
I did not say he did. I was saying the headline doesn’t really match the article. The delegates will be bound by the primary on the first round. They are also better for the platform votes than the GOP-E sycophants that would have been at the convention because Trump did not submit a slate in time. Washington was the state where his people sent the list to D.C. instead of the state.
