The biggest negative of Cruz is his inability to get voters to vote for him. Solve that problem then maybe I could feel like he could win in November.

We can debate my belief versus your belief about who will garner more votes in the general election but that is a fruitless waste of time. Rather than state my opinion, I look at the negatives against Donald Trump and I see no conceivable way that he can overcome them. I concede that Ted Cruz' negatives are high but not as high as Trump's and in my opinion, for what it's worth, is that the negatives against Cruz are not nearly as visceral as the people hold against Trump. Therefore, I think Cruz, like Reagan, can overcome the lesser obstacle whereas Trump simply cannot.

I think that Trump is a walking gaffe machine that only helps him with a limited demographic but which will undo him with the demographics of a general election including women and people of color. I do not believe that less than 40% support from a party which at most represents 40% of the people is a basis to say that Trump is a vote-getter. He is not.
