I think on two occasions Cruz could have greatly enhanced his legitimate vote totals by doing the honorable and right thing.

1) In Chicago, rather than blaming Trump for violence, he should have staged a joint press conference with Trump (or statement) and said, “Donald and I both want to be president, and we have many disagreements, but we agree on the freedom of speech, and no group of thugs will ever shut us down. I stand with Donald on this issue.”

2) In CO, Cruz wouldn’t have to have “rejected” the delegates. He could have said, “The process was both confusing and unfair, and Donald and I will agree to a run off as arranged by the state in June.”

Yep, If Cruz was an honorable man he’d be winning right now. It’s too bad so many of followers are getting dragged down into the muck with him.
