The winner is NOT the person who gets CLOSEST to 1237. Whether Trump and his supporters like it or not, a candidate must get at least that number. So far Trump is doing very little to win supporters past the first round of voting. So, instead of whining that Cruz is stealing delegates, dont you think that he might ought to think beyond the first round of voting and act accordingly?
What many of you fail to see is this is all a moot point. It is coming down to being mathematically impossible for Ted Cruz to take this nomination outright with the number of remaining delegates (needs 88% of the remaining delegates).
If Cruz had the decency to bow out like Santorum did in 2012 when he needed 75% of the delegates remaining, this would all be a moot point. But many of us have discovered, Ted Cruz is NOT a decent man.
The only logical reason for Cruz to stay in this is to help the GOPe undermine the will of the people.

It seems the Cruz supporters who are calling Trump supporter “weak minded” are a bit dense.
And Trump needs 60% which is much higher than the 38% support he had in the past and the 30% support he has in the country. Why should Cruz bow out when Trump’s overall approval is falling? This country needs saving badly from NY limousine Liberals.
Good post CGato... Needs to be stated over and over.
