You are 100% correct!

I hate, hate, HATE what was and still is being done to Mr. Nixon and his memory! Even on this thread we have a posters repeating COMMIE LIES about him as "fact". I shall NEVER allow that to stand without factual refutation!

Thank you for your defense of President Nixon. I have listened to some of his tapes- they reveal an extremely intelligent person who had the best interests of the country at heart. Listen to his tape about Renquist v. Howard Baker for the Supreme Court!

My father spent his adult life hating “Tricky Dick” because that’s what good Democrats always said. A lot like the next generation who will always think of “Lyin’ Ted” because that’s what good Trumpsters always say. When the legend becomes fact, print the legend.

Cruzbots lack good judgment. It is their candidate who lies and yet they accuse everyone else of this trait. It’s called projection. They call evil good and good evil.

He was a better choice than Kennedy, Humphrey or McGovern, but the Blackmun pick was awful, the EPA turned into a monster really quickly, the price controls weer a disaster, and arguably going full Keynesian and getting us of the gold standard a bigger one. We'll never know the other outcomes, but I'm not supportive of the opening to Red China at the expense of the Republic of China (Taiwan). I'm less of a realPolitik guy than he was. No use for Kissinger, either.

He loved his country, though. And those were dark times, and he took a serious approach to serious problems. I cannot lionize him, however.
