To: Bobalu; Objective Scrutator

It will astound and astonish me to my last day why Ted Cruz did not align himself with Donald Trump early on for a wonderful long-term run.
It could have been four or eight years of President Trump (likely four, by virtue of age) followed by another four or eight years of President Cruz.

I agree.

We’ll never know, but it was hopeful (by me at least)that their meeting in Manhattan resulted in some kind of agreement or understanding that they would see to it that both of them would prevail. The only question was who was going to be POTUS first, ans who would carry the torch the second eight years.

Seems like a monumental waste of an opportunity.

Lest you forget so easily, Cruz and Trump did have a mutual admiration thingy going right up until Cruz won Iowa, then he suddenly became Lyin Ted to the DONEald.
