In his dreams. Last place finisher would not convince 2500 delegates to vote him in. I’m not sure there are any lefties willing to fund him that far anyway.

It sounds as though he is channeling Yeb. Remember him? The guy that would win the general w/o the winning the primary; the guy who would win without his base. John K. is either in on the gig that our ‘betters’ will simply take out all candidates they feel unimportant, or snatch Trump/Cruz delegates from their hands much like the DNC did to Cackles last time round. Is his back still strong enough to carry on following his father - The local post man?

He knew what he was promising when he promised to support the NOMINEE.

He, Rubio and Ted did not pledge to support the front-runner, they pledged to support the NOMINEE.

Sadly, so did Trump.

What he is saying is that any vote against Trump is a vote for GOPe. Cruz cannot get 1237, only possibly prevent Trump from securing the nomination. Which is the GOPe’s last great hope.

Is he saying what it sounds like he's saying?

Sounds like it - need to dump him as quick as we can - so much for thinking he might not be a bad veep, etc.

I read his remarks as stating the obvious, that a candidate who has a plurality, but not a majority, of the delegates prior to the convention has no claim to the nomination.
