I went from thinking Rubio speaks so well and thinking he might have a future to absolutely detesting the man.

He’s made it very clear he’s an open border establishment type at war with the grassroots of the party. God bless Trump for bringing all this to the fore, whether or not he’s a true conservative. He’s opened the windows and let that sunshine in on the vampire coffins that have been rotting in the basement way too long. It’s great to see the RINO club confounded.

I remember last election how the rug was pulled out from under each tea party candidate, one by one, and I could imagine the establishment RINOs laughing at the people in the back rooms as they did it, until all that was left was Mitt Romney. It was all carefully planned. I was furious. They all got on TV and smirked and pronounced the tea party dead, that business as usual was going on. I wondered, was this what we had to look forward to each election - puppet candidates who do what they are told to do by DC bosses, who never confront Democrats because they don’t really disagree with them - the masses really SHOULD be controlled and taxed and told how to live their lives - they just want the money going into republican pockets, that’s all. Was the great experiment of the American culture and philosophy and independence and seeking excellence and freedom from state control truly gone?

I think Trump really, really caught them by surprise. I don’t know why he did. Did they really think the people would just roll over and die? I guess it’s a lesson to me too. Never lose faith. Even though Trump is not my ideal candidate, he is a sign that the American Spirit is alive and well in the American people - they won’t be led around by the nose by controlling politicians for too long. It’s great to see. I won’t go back to a Rubio, no way. I’ll write in a Cruz. I’ll write in a Trump.

Yes indeed. Anybody but Romney took hold. As each nominee beat Romney, they took them down. One by one systematically. In the end, we did come together and hold our nose. Not this time.

"...they won’t be led around by the nose by controlling politicians for too long."

Sadly, too many of us did and for far too long, and that's why we've gotten to this point. Trump was not my choice in the primary, but I'll be glad to cast my vote for him in the general, to keep PIAPS and her predator husband out of the White House. I am willing to give Trump a chance to blow up the WDC cartel.
