If you have a “conservative” Supreme Court yet have a total breakdown of the U.S. society because of unemployment, invasion of thugs from everywhere, and rampant epidemics of disease from third world nations, what will you have? It is like “gaining the world and losing your immortal sour.”

It is going to take Mark Levin’s Constitutional Amendments to restore the Republic, but there has to be an underlying country left to restore.

I have spent almost 40 years in and around the Federal Government. We are probably too far gone to come back, but only someone with Donald Trump’s life experience has half a chance against the entrenched bureaucracy.

This is a valid point, and it is one reason why I am not completely sour on Trump. There are some things that very badly need doing, and that I believe he will do.

But I also believe Ted Cruz will do these things as well.

If I cannot get Cruz, then I will accept Trump, because those things that need to be done will also get done with Trump.

Maybe, but I remember when we thought Arnold Schwarzenegger would hang tough too. Then he caved like a cheap suit.

I think underlying philosophy matters. I think Cruz has pondered why he believes what he believes, and I think he will do what he will do for good principled reasons.

I am not convinced that this is also true of Trump. Yes, he may do some things that badly need doing, but if he is only doing them because they are popular, what is he going to do when he needs to do something that is in fact unpopular? (Like Cut programs or Departments.)

Will he hang tough? I don't know.
