Hi nopardons,
Remember when President Wendell Wilkie beat Roosevelt in 1940? Oh, that’s right - he won the polls, not the votes.
At this point not one vote has been cast. I’m not a believer in polls. As I think about Iowa, and not looking at the weather forecast, strange things can happen on the way to he caucus site. Trump is an arrogant loser as a person. He doesn’t address any of his ideology. He scares me and many like me.
From his two books, it’s always about the money and the deal. I’m reminded of the Apostle Paul writing that he became all things to all people so that some could be saved. Trump is a chameleon and has no firm political theory. What Jesse Venture did for Minnesota will occur to the USA if Trump is elected. I’ve often thought that Trump will turn America into Potterville as depicted in “A Wonderful Life.”
But, again, no vote has been cast yet. The race is a marathon, not a sprint. Every time I’ve run marathons I’ve been careful not to go out too fast - it is certain failure in the goal.
Reagan didn't espouse any ideology, neither did Ike, nor any others of the past.
I'm happy that Trump "scares" you....but really, you shouldn't admit that out in the open.
