Plus, Cruz is too openly evangelical to win the general at this time with our dumbed-down and debauched nation, which is in need of the Twelve Steps to break its addiction to selfish, sensual, narcissistic stupid, short-term and anti-religious impulses.

I don't understand how they figure Cruz would get any crossover votes without which a Republican candidate can not win...

Agreed. The ultra conservatives help the Democrats win every election by being too pure to vote for a centrist when there really is no other viable choice. It is a kind of self-righteousness that is deplorable. Jesus gave us all permission to render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's -- we're not electing a pope or a chaplain; we're electing a business leader, commander-in-chief and coach.
