If you don’t have 1,000 respondents in your sample, it’s not a reliable poll. And that counts if you narrow down your overall sample to a sub-group...that sub-group has to still have 1,000. That’s what I learned in statistics class.
ok, thanks. I didn’t take statistics but I do accounting and to me a % is a %. Obviously more to play with when you’re dealing with statistics.
Statistics is not based in absolutes.
The size of the sample is usually irrelevent, and the key is for the sample to reliably represent the body.
Actually, a large sample allows more careful crafting of the outcome, and makes the mischief harder to detect. Best choice for a push poll in every way.
