Fascism is a centrally planned economic system where the government and industry collude. Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany are textbook examples.
You should also note that fascism sprung from socialism, and is socialistic in nature. (While it should not be necessary to call Nazis socialists, as it is in the very name of the party, it is increasing ignored)
“Fascism is a centrally planned economic system where the government and industry collude.”
Well THAT doesn’t sound familiar. I mean what with our government being so lassez faire towards industry and all,,,/
SpaceBar, you are the man. (assuming you are a man!) It drives me cuckoo that people get the fascism/Nazism thing all tied together. You have nailed the definition.
To that, I think the US is a borderline fascist state. And when I bring that up, people flip out, and assume I'm calling our politicians Hitler. And of course, that is not it at all. Especially under 0bama, big biz is using government to stomp out smaller competitors through regulations and rules. Big biz and big government are tied at the hip to each other's benefit. Many reasons of course, but I think that is why, under 0bama, small business creation has dived. It is simply too difficult to start and operate a small business these day, due to government regulations.
