That makes sense. I cede to your perspective on that. I can only assess it by those I know. It is different here in the mid-west. I do know some Democrat Catholics, but it is almost as rare as Democrat Baptists. But as the churches grow more theologically liberal, their members grow more politically liberal. The left has active operatives working to move denominations to the left for that very reason.
Some of the religious Democrats I have known are Dem becomes they believe 1) in Unions; and 2) in the welfare state. Much of that perspective dates back to the 1970s. I would like to ask them if they are still Democrat today.
Actually it goes back to Franklin Roosevelt. He built the structure of modern big government liberalism.
The universities are the cathedrals of leftism. They have been attacking the Christian faith for centuries and they are doing it with our tax money. It is time to put an end to tax sponsored “womens studies”, “black studies”, “glbtq studies”, “black lives matters”, “anarchists” etc. not to mention all those bogus “climate change” studies.
I think Trump would love to get his hands in this.
