What kind of total loser candidate would predict somebody other than himself winning?
Oh no! Trump makes incendiary attacks on the media. Send him to his room without supper!
Wishful thinking on Cruz part. It will never happen. Rand Paul is about as likely to win. Both should quit.
When you get someone as verbally quick on his feet as Ted Cruz, who openly seeks conflict, you have to use the element of surprise. The Donald may say nothing at all to Ted about this ‘betrayal’, nothing, until the next debate.
I suspect Donald has his people running numbers, algorithms, spreadsheets and stats on Ted Cruz’s time in office, and his effect, or lack of effect thereof. Remember how he fired shots at the beloved Scott Walker, who never quite knew how to respond. Watch and see. When Ted least expects it, Donald (or one of his minions during an interview) will say something to highlight a negative aspect of Ted’s political career.
I somehow doubt that Trump will launch his usual swashbuckling attack on Ted Cruz. I think Trump likes Cruz and there is some degree of mutual admiration and respect. There will be that empty space where the MSM expects Trump to attack...and there won’t be anything there. This is a chance for Trump to soften his image just a tad, too.
I think that you will not see anything about this from Donald Trump. I watched what Ted Cruz actually said and he was just like a contestant on the Apprentice saying he would win. While I really would like to see Cruz on the Supreme Court, he would be OK as a VP. Carson would be better for a lot of reasons, but I think Donald Trump will make the right choice.
To do what needs to be done the candidate needs a network outside of the professional political class. That IMO is what Cruz doesnt have to the extent Trump does. Id love to see Cruz in the administration in some capacity but not without Trump.
Cruz has a far greater chance of getting steamrollered by the status quo than Trump.
Condensed version of article.
“We’re sticking our hands in the cage and pissing off the tiger so that when he bites us we can have him put down.”
This is not presidential.<.p> This has nary a hint of our modern Conservative template, Ronald Reagan.
Who the hell rambles on about such nonsense intent on the Oval Office? Seriously, something ain't right here; I did not like it with Obama and felt it unbecoming of a president, and I don't like it with this chap.
Hoping Senator Ted puts him in his place.
Come home Freepers. Come home to Free Republic.
A typical “progressive” “Lets you and him fight” tactic.
Ted, you can’t even break double digits and I love your ideals but your speaking style creeps people out, not me, but a lot of people.
Can anyone lead us to a link where these authors referred to the incumbent’s thin skin?
The first comment at the site deserves a like.
Of course Cruz hopes to win the nomination and if he really believes he’ll win then, ipso facto, he believes Trump will not win the nomination. The news isn’t so much that he believes, or claims to believe this, but the blunt language he used to express this thought rather than expressing it in more diplomatic language. It means that the rules of engagement between he and Trump have just changed to a more confrontational, albeit still civil, tone. It also means he may not be able to count on Trump not attacking him.
I’m sure Trump would have no problem going to war with Cruz. As Trump said, half jokingly, the other day, he was almost sorry that Carson apologized for the comments he made regarding Trump’s religious belief a few weeks ago, because he was looking forward to going on the attack against him.
Trump says it all the time...he’s going to be the nominee. All Cruz has to say is “It would be great if Trump were and I would support him...but I’m going to be the nominee and I hope he’ll support me.”
@TedCruz expects 2get #Trump2016 supporters...saying @realDonaldTrump will not get the #GOP nominee. I disagree!

Has anyone ponder perhaps Donald and Ted are involve in playing the media. They both respect each other and have meet numerous times.
Truth is Cruz didn’t say “can’t win”.
Nowadays, when Cruz does something commendable or newsworthy, they just lose their minds over it.
This is a non issue. All candidates say they are going to win.
