Why don’t we just invoice the country of origin for these housing/food/medical costs. There must be a way to make them pay. And we can include a service % on top of the costs.
Aren’t we still giving air to Mexico, etc? Trump would think of something.
I think you’re on to something but let’s not give them a bill they can crumble up and throw in the waste basket.
How about we impose a tariff, or tax if you will, on all goods coming into the country from Mexico, and call it “Immigrant Support Payment”. Say 25% of every tomato, avocado, barrel of oil, manufactured item, like new Ford automobiles, etc., etc., based simply on the humanitarian effort to support destitute Mexicans in this country. Also, we need to charge a 50% tax, same justification, on ever dollar electronically transferred fro the United States to Mexico.
How ‘bout just derailing the gravy-train for good instead? In fact, there’s a few Amendments, if the Const. were followed, that would back-up the point.
