I haven't seen that at all.

Threads about touring his airplane are legitimate political discourse, I guess, and are certianly NOT worship of the man. /s

I HAVE seen many Trump fans who are frustrated with paleo conservatives that refuse to accept we don't win without a conservative who has at least some populist support.

Trump is a liberal. They are fans of a liberal. If they don't or can't accept that documented fact that's their problem. But there are many conservatives here who have not fallen for his ruse because they are aware of his liberal past.

So why is he running as a conservative? Surely, any grand scheme he has would work even better if he ran as his liberal self.

I think a lot of people see it as party being less important than country.

With that lens you may see Trump’s appeal. Keeping the country over party thing in mind, I agree that his party (or parties) is not what this site has traditionally supported.

His party doesn’t much matter to the country over party people. It seems that you are not one of those people, yet. Or that you (still) believe that an R will always be better or some degree of that. No problem of course, it’s just different than the views of the country over party folks.

I still believe we’re on the same team.
