Ted Cruz is one of one hundred.
He can only take so much credit.
Governors can, and do, take credit for anything done during their administration. Even if they initially opposed the bill or regulation.
I read an article, here on Free Republic, that right after his reelection, Walker told his fellow Republicans in the Wisconsin legislature to back off a bit.
Seems he was already wanting to not be “too extreme” for the moderate voter in a presidential election.
Just do a search on Scott Walker, I’m sure you’ll find it
That was the Right to Work legislation. Walker asked them to hold off at the time for two reasons. He wanted to bring more Republicans in support of it and second, he wanted to control the timing for maximum benefit to him.
I see nothing wrong with those things.
