“I don’t view people as members of ethnic groups or economic groups,” Jindal said. “This president has done too much to divide us, so obviously I disagree with his (Trump’s) comments. I think we need to look at people as individuals.”

Problem is, people, especially those in question, sure don’t look at themselves as simply individuals. They play the identity victim card at any opportunity, especially when it involves getting bennies, or special treatment. (Not so much when it involves taking responsibility of the group.)

“I don’t view people as members of ethnic groups or economic groups,” Jindal said. “This president has done too much to divide us, so obviously I disagree with his (Trump’s) comments. I think we need to look at people as individuals.”

Trumps initial statement - “When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending the best,” he said during the announcement. “They're not sending you, they're sending people that have lots of problems and they're bringing those problems. They're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime. They're rapists and some, I assume, are good people, but I speak to border guards and they're telling us what we're getting."

Jindal gets it wrong. Trump in his initial statement that brought all the "outrage" refers to "Mexico" as a nation state sending and not as "ethnic groups" or is Trump speaking of "economic groups", unless Jindal means "economic groups" or "ethnic groups" are people who bring in illegal drugs, or are rapists, and other crimes.
