The conservative pundit tells CNN Republicans will become "relics" if they don't evolve on same-sex marriage.
Conservative pundit S.E. Cupp got emotional on CNN Friday afternoon in the wake of the Supreme Courts ruling on marriage equality, which she urged the Republican party to accept. Tears welling, lip quivering and all, Cupp a longtime supporter of same-sex marriage, though not always for the most progressive reasons begged the GOP to evolve on the issue, lest conservatives begin to be viewed as relics.
Those people there are not pariahs, theyre patriots, Cupp said of same-sex couples. And wherever you stand on the politics of this issue its hard not to see these people as just wanting the human dignity that the rest of us have when it comes to death benefits, hospital visitation or child custody.
The commentator also told host Wolf Blitzer that the issue is one of basic morality, not of politics. And when pressed on conservatives continuing objections to the Supreme Courts decision, Cupp explained that its long past time for the GOP to join the 21st Century.
This is America, Cupp said. Those people are Americans, and that is our future. And so for my party, which I deeply deeply love my party really has to reconcile the fact that we are going to become relics if we dont get to where these people are.

Typical Romneyite/Bushbot Ripon Republican. She's a conservative like I'm a Sumo Ninja.
The GOPE already accepts it. They do not want this issue to come up in 2016.
Conservatives need to fight it tooth and nail
Polling here indicated 61 percent were opposed to the Supreme Court ruling. It would probably be even higher if people were not scared of being punished for expressing their views.
human dignity, you can see show their dignity in full regalia at a Pride march
Yep. I heard Larry Sabato talking on Fox Saturday. The GOP wants the independent votes and the independents are for same sex marriage so they are not about to rock that boat.
they can all goatse
She is obviously a LESBIAN.
Ugh. It must have been great to have had real men in leadership positions way back when.
Boy howdy.
Your Rainbow coalition wants to know when that Texas preacher who said he was gonna set himself on fire over this issue, is gonna set himself on fire. Some are even offering matches. They can all go to hell.
Then they are all morons.
Obama will take credit for it, as will his minions.
If they can’t forsee that fact, then they deserve what they get.
And the same goes for the Confederate flag issue.
She is now about as credible a conservative spokesperson as David Brookes, Jennifer Rubin, Scarborough and the like.
Haha, sorry. It’s been a long day. “Don’t type when tired” is the lesson I glean from this mistake.
“The Naked Communist”
That is a horrifying mental image.
We did have real men running things, you weren’t wrong.
“How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg? Four. Calling a tail a leg doesn’t make it a leg.”

“Marriage” has had a clear definition for over five thousand years. Even with polygamy, it was not a group arrangement. A marriage was one man with one woman; polygamous men just had more than one marriage at a time. Even in classical Athens, where they valued male-male relationships, “marriage” was limited to male-female. In declining Rome, when Emperor Nero “married” a boy, the relationship was not seen as a real marriage by the people. No culture that defined marriage differently survived long enough to have any significant effect on the world, and if any such cultures existed, they died out and were forgotten. Given that track record, whether or not I can stop today’s celebrants of “equality”, I will not embrace their cause.
How many marriages do you have if two men have a wedding and then two women have a wedding? Zero. Calling a gay partnership a ‘marriage’ doesnt make it a marriage.
She identifies as a livtard
Well, I assumed the whiny crybaby in question was a closet gay “man”. That’s how desensitized I am to “men” crying over stupid things.
