I am not a believer in that puppet theory. They are like the rest of us in that they care who gets elected. If we were billionaires we would be no different. I would think political policies affect them more in some areas. The more you have the more you have to lose. I am at a point in my life where tax rates don’t matter. But I want NOTHING of a government that would swipe other people’s money in my name.

If the money were conditional then it would be given AFTER a favor was bestowed. This is campaign money and nothing more. I am grateful they give a lot so I don’t have to. In the interview David Koch said he gave 75 million to prostate cancer research. That is an issue important to me but I would NEVER have any significant money to give to it. These people are involved in the world around them and very generous. I don’t agree with them 100%, but I am grateful they give to candidates on the right. There are plenty of big donors on the left. It all evens out. Donations are to people who already agree with them, not to people they purchase a change of mind from.
