Yes, he may take some of the social conservative/evangelical vote away from Cruz, which is what the RNC is hoping. However, Huckabee also styles himself as a pro-welfare state, George W. Bush-style "compassionate conservative," which will win over some fiscally liberal Republicans who might otherwise vote for Jeb. Or at least we can hope.
