I used to write for that paper with a pen name and submitting anonymously.
People used to get very angry about my columns.
I once did one about why Prop 22 is awesome and gay marriage is stupid and had my professor, Clifton Snider, go nuts in my class WITH ME THERE about my column, though he never realized it was me that wrote it (again, pen name).

Love your story. Nothing better than antagonizing stupid leftists from within. I was a journalism major at a leftist university and did not have the sound judgement to keep my conservative views a secret. As a result, I was hated by my communist classmates and even my advisor ignored me for my final year. (The only good thing he ever did was to get me out of having to take a women's studies elective class taught by a feminazi, because he knew my politics would never pass her class.) With my 3.8 GPA in Journalism, I guess I wasn't as smart as the good socialists at Ohio University.
