If you don’t help your guy, you are helping the other guy. Whether you like it or not, you are actively casting your vote for your guy by showing up or you are passively casting your vote for the opposition by staying home.
Seven million conservatives voted for Obama in 2012 by staying home. There is a risk that they will vote for Hilary in 2016.

Evangelical turnout was higher in 2012 than 2008, and Romney won 79% of the Evangelical vote, the most republican vote of any group.
