It all depends on who’s asking the questions.

Clever liberal moderators could make Cruz look hapless and Warren look like a genius. That would be especially true if the moderators gave the questions to Warren ahead of time.

So Cruz would have to do something McCain and Romney never bothered to do: demand a veto over biased moderators.

There are no moderators that clever - certainly not clever enough to fool Cruz. Like Newt, he'd wipe the floor with them. (Newt then destroyed himself, but no moderator laid a glove on him. Dittos' Cruz.)
