(VIDEO-AT-LINK)
Some weeks after delivering what many pundits believe was a disastrous speech at the Iowa Freedom Summit, former governor, former vice presidential candidate, and still the current most powerful female politician on the planet Sarah Palin took to the podium at CPAC on Thursday and hit it out of the park. Most of her speech concerned veterans issues, both heartfelt and filled with policy suggestions. She also took some swings against the Obama administrations ISIS policy. The media, typically, reacted with irritation.
Typical of the reaction from the left side of the media were the accounts in both the Daily Beast and the Huffington Post. They suggested that Palins address was not typical in that it was coherent. Clearly what they meant was that it didnt fit the received narrative that Sarah Palin is a psycho bimbo. It was the evaluation of people who have not been following Palin very objectively for the past six or seven years.
Even the right side of the media expressed amaze that the same woman who brought tens of thousands of people to their feet at the 2008 Republican National Convention could still manage the English language six and half years later....

Fact of life...The Media will have a ball, and we will have her... Such is life.
Gotta go back ten days to get your Palin fix?
Hey, when did Jim sell you the website? Pretty expensive, was it? How do taxes work on a purchase like that?
Walker/Palin might just be the ticket.
Why bring Jim into this. He didn’t post this.
I didn’t bring him into this, I assumed you bought the site from him now that you were giving instructions to thread posters. And what, exactly, do you have against Gov. Sarah Palin?
You only have to read crowing accounts by "conservative" pundits like Kathleen Parker (who once wrote that Hillary Clinton was "well qualified" to be president) after Palin's supposedly bad Iowa speech.
The knives are out for many candidates, like Palin, who don't fit the elite right establishment bill of what a candidate is supposed to look and sound like. Scott Walker will probably get the same kind of treatment. He's now being skewered by some elite righties because he dodged some stupid questions from the media.
Yeah, we LOVE Sara Palin. She was born to carry a banner. I wonder if she did this speech without a tele prompter, she sure speaks from her heart with no tongue in cheek or double innuendos.
That was Sarah at her best
I didn't say you couldn't post the story. I'm remarking that she's been out of the news and you reached back ten days to find something. Don't like that? Not much I can do about that.
I hope all the Media get sent to an East German-esq Co-Op Farm and their work is heavy and toilsome.
Let’s see, you say that she’s irrelevant but yet you respond to a thread about her just because she wasn’t in the news of late? Haha haha haha haha!!!!!!
I am convinced if there was a thread about Sarah Palin’s religious views as captured in an iPhone 6 video, this place would implode.
YES! And while they're staving to death I hope some New York Times Editor wins a Pulitzer for describing how wonderful the farm collective system is...
Oh, I see. She's relevant because someone's talking about her not because she's accomplishing something. Got it.
Her ‘08 convention speech was a stemwinder. The media HAD to spring into full destruct mode after that one.
No....it’s just funny that you don’t care about her but yet you have to respond and not only respond but respond because someone else who does care about her mentions her a little too late in the news cycle
Sarah Palin suggested, nay, demanded that the care of our veterans should trump the care of our illegal immigrants. Sarah Palins position makes a great deal of sense.
However, the Obama enabling media would of course be annoyed at such a common sense position.
What is your perspective regarding President Obama's Top Priority, especially his first priority. If everything is a priority then nothing is a priority.
When the collective has ownership, no ONE takes responsibility. Obama has hands on everything, but responsible for nothing.
Politicians gave us the idea that the things we could not afford individually we could somehow afford collectively through the magic of government. Thomas Sowell
Nothing funny about it. The article was posted to garner comments. I commented.
