Some weeks after delivering what many pundits believe was a disastrous speech at the Iowa Freedom Summit, former governor, former vice presidential candidate, and still the current most powerful female politician on the planet Sarah Palin took to the podium at CPAC on Thursday and hit it out of the park. Most of her speech concerned veterans issues, both heartfelt and filled with policy suggestions. She also took some swings against the Obama administrations ISIS policy. The media, typically, reacted with irritation.
Typical of the reaction from the left side of the media were the accounts in both the Daily Beast and the Huffington Post. They suggested that Palins address was not typical in that it was coherent. Clearly what they meant was that it didnt fit the received narrative that Sarah Palin is a psycho bimbo. It was the evaluation of people who have not been following Palin very objectively for the past six or seven years.
Even the right side of the media expressed amaze that the same woman who brought tens of thousands of people to their feet at the 2008 Republican National Convention could still manage the English language six and half years later....

Yep.....kinda ironic, isn’t it? You know, I don’t get this “irrelevant” thing that keeps popping up when Gov Palin is mentioned. I’ve followed her career, listened to her speeches, etc.... and find her views and values are much aligned to my own............and for that, she is very relevant to me. The consistency of her message, her ability to get to the heart of the matter, and her values and work ethic touch me deeply; therefore, I applaud whatever venue is at her disposal to get the word out.....she speaks for me and reaches a much larger audience then I’d be ever able to. “Irrelevant” is a word used in reference to Gov Palin, hmmmm... usually when she has just successfully removed the opposing queen from the board of play.
I think Sarah would be a fine choice but Scott has done too much governing.
I am thinking more like Palin/Walker.
If HilLIARy survives to run, it will most likely be HilLIARy/Warren, an all female ticket, which will have the feminists all in a tizzy.
It will be impossible to defeat unless we have a female at the top. I don’t think Palin would accept second place anyway.
Sarah Palin suggested, nay, demanded that the care of our veterans trump the care of our illegal immigrants. That position makes a great deal of sense.
However, the Obama enabling media would of course be annoyed at such a common sense position.
What is your perspective regarding Obama's priorities, especially President Obama's Top Priority. How many does he have? Are our veterans on his list?
When the collective has ownership, no ONE takes responsibility. Obama has hands on everything, but responsible for nothing.
Great tan, she must have spent the winter in Scottsdale.
Hitlery is being attacked by her own. Most of the dims that I work with in this UAW shop in michigan say they will not support hitlery.
God bless Sarah Palin, God bless America, in Jesus name we pray.
Yes, I've noticed. The PDS sufferers keep getting on Palin threads, screaming "Why do you keep dredging up these stories about her???? Going back to a 10 day old story??? My God! She's irrelevant!" They're like 3-year olds having a tantrum...
If she's so irrelevant, why do her endorsements keep accruing victories - and more to the point, why do the PDS sufferers, who claim to disdain Palin, scream bloody murder whenever these threads pop up, and compulsively look for them so they can be a top 10 poster?
“Irrelevant?” She’s arguably the most influential female politician in North America. Did you know that 20 out of 22 of her endorsements took office 5 months ago? Hillary was 5 for 20. Chew on that.
Palin “irrelevant”, you wish.
Palin is still leading and building the conservative movement, did you miss the 2014 election cycle?
Is it your claim that without Palin’s endorsement those people would have lost?
