As Texas U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz and other Republican lawmakers battle the Obama administration on his executive orders on immigration, a national gay rights group is targeting the potential 2016 presidential candidate over another executive order protecting gays and lesbians from discrimination in the federal workforce.
The Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organization, on Wednesday released a comprehensive research report on Cruz that highlights his record on gay rights.
Cruz, who is addressing the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington Thursday, is an outspoken opponent of same sex marriage.
With funding for the Department of Homeland Security hanging in the balance, and while Cruz, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, and a slew of other GOP presidential hopefuls converge on D.C., gay rights activists are raising the prospect of another battle over Obama’s executive power.
Presumably, they note, the next U.S. president could reverse Obama’s 2014 order barring federal agencies and contractors from discriminating against employees on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. Currently, the order applies to an estimated 24,000 companies with some 28 million workers.

Amen to that! God Bless Ted Cruz and all (an extreme few) members of the House and Senate that oppose the homosexual agenda. May God in his Grace change the hearts of many to see recognize this insidious evil and oppose it. May “decency” in all matters of sexual conduct (hetero & homo) become the norm among elected officials and the people they represent. A big hope, but one not impossible for God.
A special blessing upon Ted Cruz and he pretty much stands alone at this time.
