Texas Republicans issued a one-sentence rebuttal to Florida Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-Fla.) for his comments during a Monday Rules Committee meeting.
In debating with Rep. Michael Burgess (R-Texas) over the latest Obamacare repeal bill, Hastings referenced his colleagues home state, which I think is a crazy state to begin with, and I mean it just as I said it.
As the two fought over speaking time, Burgess complained that Hastings made a very defamatory comment about my state, and I will not stand here and listen to it.
Hastings has not apologized. House Texas Republicans issued a joint statement today: Dont mess with Texas.
The lawmakers also called on Hastings to apologize to the citizens of Texas.
Either that or explain why it’s crazy
Exactly. Most Texans I know understand that much of the rest of the world thinks we’re crazy, & we’re fine with that. I’ve seen a meme that said something to the effect, some people hide away their crazy...in the South, we set it out on the front porch for everyone to see.
Alcee: ‘Crazy is what your district is, not Texas.’
Being called “crazy” by the likes of Hastings...
means something....
We are something he cannot comprehend.
Good enough for me.
Wacky Bird TED CRUZ and I have plans...
the status quo fear us(all of US)...AND FOR GOOD REASON!
Pray that our plans for this nation are in Jehovah God’s
Will for this nation.
Maybe he has only visited Austin.
Google “Florida man”. You’ll see, it IS a crazy state.
Yep, and we don’t want or need his kind down here, we got enough nut jobs.
yep.
While a sitting judge hearing cases of druggies in South Floriduh,
he accepted bribes.
And was one of but a few federal judges ever to be impeached.
Oh for God’s sake, is it too much to ask these morons to grow up?
Yes
If an insane thug calls you crazy, that means you are sane. When liberals dis Texas, I take it as a compliment.
