Sen. Ted Cruzs piece in Politico Magazine on Wednesday has drawn a lot of attention, not all of it kind.
In the piece, the Texas Senator charges that President Obamas impending executive action on immigration is lawless and that if he makes the move, he will be acting as a monarch. Since his election in 2012, Cruz has vocally opposed comprehensive immigration reform.
A fellow Republican in the Texas congressional delegation said that Cruzs energetic opposition to comprehensive immigration reform doesnt adequately represent his constituents.
I dont think its reflective of Texas as a whole, said Rep. Gene Green, chuckling. I think its reflective of the Republican primary.(continued)

Ah, but this is what leftists do. They always have to find a gutless Republican under some sagebrush and criticize a conservative Republican. I remember the days when Warren Rudman and all the other worthless Republicans get to show their mugs on the Sunday shows and scream that Reagan was going "too far."
Slate, eh?
he’s a dem
Gene Green is a yellow dog Democrat. As usual, Slate is wrong.
LOL! GENE is a big buddy of SHILA. They both enjoy fully-equipped IA districts.
If you’re not taking flak, you’re not over target. CRUZ 2016!!!!
She’s one of Gruber’s finest.
She knew it was a lie, she’s just too stupid to care.
Writer just responded to my email:
“Thanks so much for the note. I was wrong, and I appreciate the note. We’re correcting this now.
Best,
Betsy”
Gene Green the Lying Machine.
I’m okay with that too, just not going to get too worked up over what a lib rag says.
But I never miss a chance to point out the real liberal Republicans when I get a chance.

Nice find.
Slate is such exposed stupidity.
This Rep.is a Dem.
Too kind you are. Headline now reads “Texas Congressman” etc.
I just wrote back to her:
“How a journalist makes such a basic mistake is beyond me, especially in an obvious hit piece against another politician. A simple Google search and I confirmed his party affiliation in less than 1 minute. BTW, your article (with its repaired headline) still calls him a “A fellow Republican in the Texas congressional delegation. Embarrassing”
Your average dem voter is too ignorant to know it or even bother to check so they will just repeat “republicans are against Cruz”.
If she gets caught, she claims it’s just a mistake.
Correction, 9:45 p.m.: This post originally misstated Congressman Gene Greens party affiliation. He is a Democrat, not a Republican.
This was at the bottom of the article.
