My first thought as well. I'm not a fan of the "we need a black candidate" idea (pick the best person, not the best person who fits PC category X), but what we *don't* need is a candidate with no experience, meaning I'm opposed to Ben Carson. So far as I know, Carson's never been so much as a mayor. I'd be happier with a former governor, but at least West's been a Representative.
well it will be interesting if West also runs! does anyone know if he is considering?
