I’m as dismayed by the rise of political dynasties in our supposedly republican polity as the next person here at FR, and would probably vote for a third party candidate if faced with the Bush dynasty v. the Clinton dynasty in 2016, but a grown man not taking his mother’s advice on a matter within the sphere of his chosen profession hardly constitutes “throw[ing] Mom under bus”.
