Almost everyone I know would personally drive a car load of them to the border, including me!
We’d have to take them past the frontera-maybe 12 miles in-can’t remember exactly , to make it harder to get back in again-hence, the vans. There used to be little security stations there, checking everyone for contraband going in both directions, but I don’t know if that is still true...
