The Republican Party as we knew it is dead. No longer are they going to compete in any serious way in national elections. And while they might be able to win state races and gerrymandered congressional seats, they will no longer be able to play on the big stage because of how theyve behaved for the past five years under President Obama.
It didnt have to be this way. They couldve learned from the shutdowns of 1995 and 1996, and taken a more moderate approach to the Obama years. They could have condemned the racist birthers or those in their own right flank who think bringing a Confederate flag to the White House with a Black family inside is no big deal. They could have spent the last five years debating policy, but instead they have entered in the dangerous territory of attacking the president as a person.
The GOP has refused to condemn racist rhetoric since President Obama took office. This weekend during a vets rally to protest the shutdown, Larry Klayman said to a cheering crowd at an event attended by Sarah Palin, and Republican Sens. Mike Lee and Ted Cruz. I call upon all of you to wage a second American nonviolent revolution, to use civil disobedience, and to demand that this president leave town, to get up, to put the Quran down, to get up off his knees, and to figuratively come up with his hands out.
Mainstream conservatives have tried to get the focus off the racist rhetoric, but the damage was done.
After the two-week shutdown, the Republican Partys approval rating is lower than ever. A whopping 74 percent of Americans disapprove of the GOPs handling of the manufactured government shutdown crisis. More than 90 percent of African Americans voted for President Obama in 2012. And other people of color backed the president as well with 71 percent of Latinos and 73 percent of Asians voting for Obama in 2012.
The reason for these bleak numbers in support of the Republican Party is both the result of rhetoric and policy. Its very difficult to win over Black voters when your partys mascot, Rush Limbaugh, refers to the regal and fabulous First Lady, as Moochelle Obama, on a regular basis. Sure, Limbaugh is a carnival barker and frequently says things simply to drive ratings and be outrageous. But when the mainstream Republican Party co-signs him and refuses to condemn his rhetoric, the entire GOP gets painted with the Limbaugh brush.
The real reason the GOP is in big trouble is Latino voters are the single group that stand to benefit the most from Obamacare. Yes, the same Obamacare that Republicans shut down the government over. Couple that with the birtherism, jingoism, anti-immigrant rhetoric and you have the perfect recipe for never again winning the White House. And while those gerrymandered House districts may make the Republican Party pretty safe from the threat of losing the House in 2014, the latest Cook Report that specializes in ranking safe House districts moved 14 seats in the direction of Democrats just in the two weeks since the shutdown began.
Mostly as a result of the damage House Republicans sustained during the 16-day government shutdown, we are making changes to our ratings in 15 House seats, all but one in Democrats' direction," Cook Political Report said in a statement.
The Republican Partys often racially charged attacks on the president are not just something that turns off Black voters. If the 2012 cycle was any indication, it turns off voters of all political stripes and colors, including nearly three quarters of Latinos and Asians, voting to maintain a Democratic White House. If the GOP doesnt wise up to that fact, they are going to be in exile nationally for a generation or more.

Tell them they need to discipline ugly mean girl wannabe and Barnie frank clone Peter king,or the top GOP conservatives will primary every conservative hating GOP elected official out there.
Because their power depends upon the exploitation of group grievances, Progressives falsely accuse their adversaries of harboring hatred or ill intent toward these groups.
This strategy serves two important purposes: first, it consolidates political alliances with the target populations by reinforcing their collective sense of victimhood, and of solidarity with the Progressive movement.
Secondly, it puts the opposition instantly on the defensive, not only forced to deny culpability for fabricated wrongs, but placed in a position of having to do so as filtered through the voice of a hostile news media, almost fully in league with the Progressives.
Faced with this set of negative dynamics, my advice to conservatives in the GOP is the same as it has been for some time: call liars "liars" and don't stop calling them liars. Rail against the exploitation of groups by Progressives by explaining how they are being used for the acquisition of power and money.
And whenever the lie is told person-to-person, tell the Progressive: "if you lie about me again, I'll knock you through the wall". Most often, they will back off (I've done it more than once). If not, be prepared to fight, because we haven't done anywhere near enough of that.

DNC: Terrorist Tea Party Clout Fading Fast

Humm... one thing I see faiding is the ink in the older headlines.
Another thing I see is a couple of "TEA Party types" and a few supporters just pinned the entire little bammy "administration" to the mat for 16 straight days.
Perhaps they are now taking the track of "If we do not mention them that will "prove" that they are not getting results."
I believe it is called Hard Core Pawn, and it is a doozy. The mouths on those “customers” match their body fat. The son and daughter are not much better, but it is an interesting look at inner city degradation.
Amen Brother.
He reasonings are the ramblings of a racist fool.
Sure, Mao found plenty of Useful Idiots in China, so many that they'll likely never rid themselves of Communists, ever.
All Useful Idiots are interchangeable, doncha know?
‘Mostly as a result of the damage House Republicans sustained during the 16-day government shutdown, we are making changes to our ratings in 15 House seats, all but one in Democrats’ direction,” Cook Political Report said in a statement.’
Funny, the oh-so-accurate and beloved Nate Silver says the shutdown will be forgotten in weeks and won’t have affected anything.
That’s right, I had the title wrong. Very strange place.
Being a racist keeps someone out of office....
Oh, the Democrats we could list.
get over yourself Zerlina
Since the Democrat party is anti-White, this is not surprising. That's why they have to keep importing voters.
If there were any “ Asians voting for a Black guy because of his race? “ it’s because they drank the MSM and liberal koolaid of brain washing.
It’s also good to know this black baby killing libtard is just the latest in a looooooong line of people who have declared political movements to be dead.
Both Republicans and Democrats have gone through periods in time where pundits have said ‘its over!”. I mean, you’re telling me after Reagan’s reelection where rats won a single state that some Republican pundits were saying Demoncrats were finished? Of course they were.
Don’t know her statistics look into them.
1.”74 percent of Americans disapprove of the GOPs handling of the manufactured government shutdown crisis.”
That is probably a low figure. We know Democrats did not approve of the way it was handled. As a Republican I did not approve of the Republicans caving in either. I certainly didn’t approve of Juan McCain , McConnell or Boehner’s performance. The cowardly RINO SOB’s sold us out.
2.”More than 90 percent of African Americans”
This too is a true figure, and they would vote for him again strictly for his race.
3.”And other people of color backed the president as well with 71 percent of Latinos and 73 percent of Asians voting for Obama in 2012.
Another figure I don’t doubt. He paid with our Tax money for the Hispanics vote, and only God knows why an Asian would vote for the asshat.
When you look at her figures she isn’t that far off.
Just look at Cops or news out of various American cities. Yeah, real "reality TV."
Was it signed Barak?
Ahhhhhh ? HELL NO !
“Mainstream conservatives”
