I agree but you left out Duvall’s epic portrayal of Augustus Macrae in Lonesome Dove. IMHO the best work he has ever done.

You know, it shames me to say this, but I’ve never seen Lonesome Dove. I keep meaning to get around to it, but I haven’t gotten there yet.
