I feel for this woman. She’s fallen hook, line and sinker for the “I can change him... all he need is the love of a good woman!” (Been there.)

She needs to break up with him and seek therapy. Politics have nothing to do with what ails her.

What a freaking psycho. Reading this, I imagine her sitting on a barstool, twirling her Cosmo by the stem and yammering up into the air. The bartender and everyone around her have completely tuned her out as she babbles "Like, sos" and "well, anyways" and "(eye roll) whatevers" at lightning speed. He needs to dump her asap, but I feel sorry for him. There's not much to choose from for a conservative in Los Angeles. (And he doesn't even sound all that conservative to me.)

Politics is just another word for "values." Know someone's politics and you know their values. Date accordingly.
