I think what happened in Fla. was the geographic nature of Fla. The Tea Party, being the independent groups that they are, are too scattered and not working together at the state level. S.C. has a strong TP connection within the state. The Tea Parties within states need to work closely together. That is the only way we can be effective. Sarah can’t carry the whole load.

“I think what happened in Fla. was the geographic nature of Fla. The Tea Party, being the independent groups that they are, are too scattered and not working together at the state level.”

That and FL is half full of northerners at this time of the year. And many of them are registered to vote there - snowbirds. They declare that they live in FL six months and one day out of the year, thus they get all the tax breaks, etc. that FL has to offer over the northern states.

A lot of our older neighbors here in NY like Romney because they like how he LOOKS and SPEAKS. Obama all over again. It was shown in the FL exit polls that the bulk of the people that voted for Romney did so because they think he is the more “electable”. Remember that this has been the meme about Romney since FOREVER. It has become embedded in the narrative. People don’t even know what the hell it means. It just sounds “good”.

And Sarah, well in my opinion, she did wait too long to declare that she would not run. If she had done that even a couple of weeks earlier, she would have held on to her potential to influence voters. As it is now, while still popular, she has made herself less relevant as to a serious positive impact on whomever she endorses. Sad really. And don’t everybody yell at me.
