Brilliant IMO. Instead of being a third party candidate ensuring zeros re election, she could conceivably knock him out and re write history of politics. I would register democrat and would do something I am morally opposed to.......donate time & money to a politician.
Oh yeah...brilliant idea. Let’s split the country even further.
Way to go Farah...you kook.
I have no idea if it would work. But I would switch affiliations to help her for sure, if shr wanted to do it. The other thing, maybe it would help develop some common sense rules to prevent this type of switching in the future on either side. Having said that, an inferquent state whose primary allows crossover voting may not be bad. It can gauge such support in a general election.
LOL.
I was once a Dem, a while ago.
I’ll register as one again, to vote for Palin. Absolutely. :)
The way Palin can beat Obama is by running. Period.
Maybe it’s because I”m still chuckling from the Jon Stewart video on Solyndra, but I kind of like the humor in this idea too. I assume Farah is being “half serious” with this think piece which is compelling in an outside the box kind of way. I’d buy popcorn to watch it if it happened.
I would offer up Romney to register as a Democrat and run against Obama. Then he can campaign on his healthcare track record “truthfully” without any encumbrance.
Interesting idea. But maybe there is something else going on. I know a very wealthy Democrat who has been involved with the Democrats for years. I was shocked to learn from this person this week that they are not only supporting Rick Perry they have put up a substantial amount of money for Perry. This will send shock waves through the Demcrats when it becomes public.
Obama is raping everyone who has money. The rich Democrats included. These people have assets and families to protect. I am saying right here and right now that Obama cannot raise the money he will need unless he gets it illegally.
And a lot of good that's done Mitt Romney. He couldn't even scare up a hundred voters to his Labor Day weekend speech in NH. Yet "unannounced" candidate Palin had more than a thousand enthusiastic people at her NH speech and that was with very little promotion. Lot of good that "big money" did Mitt Romney.
We are still more than four months away from the first meaningful election/caucus in which delegates are assigned. Anybody spending "big money" right now are flushing it down the toilet.
Well, if nothing else it would provide for lots of entertainment at the nominating convention.
She is likely to lose a Republican primary and she is likely to lose a Democrat primary and she cannot win as a "third party".
Palin is in an enviable position right where she is. Why spoil it?
Here’s the one word reason it won’t work: Superdelegates. There’s a large block a (D) delegates who aren’t elected - the idea is to prevent a replay of McGovern ‘72; the party base going nuts and nominating someone unelectable.
Doesn’t matter who many votes she gets in the (D) primaries; she won’t be their nominee.
Cute idea though.
“Way to go Farah...you kook.”
The is the principal nut at World Nut Daily.
I’m an old disabled veteran one step away from a hover-round, but see my tag line.
I actually advocated that Bush re-register as a Demovik in 2004 and effectively end them. And the beauty of that idea was, Bush was pretty much a Dem anyway.
I'm always amused by the principles of Joe Farah, or lack there of. /sarc
