All Perry did was allow children of illegals, who were legal residents of Texas to take advantage of the same instate tuition rates that Texas residents get.
They still pay out of their own pockets.
In-state tuition is a taxpayer subsidized amount.
Folks who are bi-lingual have got to be careful to not get tripped up over the double-negatives. They are structured differently in English than in Spanish, and don't always mean "Yes" ~ used more traditionally in English they mean "No".
The rest of the country pretty much thinks your arguments to pay off the illegals are naive. We don't believe them. Why should they?
You do realize, don't you, that OBAMA has never, ever gotten a chance to be involved in a successfully passed in-state tuition tricks.
Perry's position is hanging out there like ripe fruit to be plucked by Obama. All he has to do is say "I've reconsidered everything, and we can't afford to take the risk that all foreign students would be entitled to instate tuition while American students aren't.
Then it's all over.
He may well click that one off next Wednesday.
